- 3 medium Chicken breasts
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 ½ cups Marinara sauce
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 12 Slider buns
- Fresh basil leaves optional, for garnish
Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken
Flatten the chicken breasts to about ½ inch thickness using a meat mallet.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
Note: Flattening the chicken ensures it cooks evenly and fits perfectly on your slider buns.
Step 2 – Cook the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from pan and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Warning: Keep an eye on the chicken as it cooks to avoid burning, as it can dry out quickly.
Step 3 – Assemble the Sliders
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cut the cooked chicken into slider-sized pieces.
Place a slice of chicken on the bottom half of each slider bun.
Top each with a spoonful of marinara sauce and a generous amount of mozzarella.
Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top.
Cap with the top halves of the slider buns.
Wrap the sliders in aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Tip: Wrapping the sliders in foil keeps them moist and helps the flavors meld beautifully.
- For an extra crispy topping, open the foil for the last 2 minutes of baking.
- If you’re short on time, pre-cooked chicken cutlets can be used; just ensure they’re nicely seasoned.
