A large frying pan or skillet
A sharp knife for slicing and dicing
A cutting board
Measuring cups and spoons
A small bowl for mixing sauces
Aluminum foil or baking sheet (if you opt to oven-bake the chicken)
- 1 pound Ground chicken
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Egg beaten
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 12 Slider buns
- 12 small pieces Lettuce leaves
- 1 large Tomato sliced
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Mustard
Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Note: Handling the mixture gently will keep your sliders juicy and tender.
Step 2 – Shape and Cook Sliders
Shape the mixture into small patties, about the size of your slider buns.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
Warning: Ensure your chicken sliders reach an internal temperature of 165°F to avoid any foodborne illnesses.
Step 3 – Assemble the Sliders
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each slider bun.
Place a chicken patty on each bun, followed by a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato.
Fact: The key to perfect sliders is in the layering – a bit of sauce on the bottom bun prevents it from getting soggy.
- To keep your sliders from falling apart, let the cooked patties rest for a couple of minutes before assembling.
- For a cheesy twist, add a slice of your favorite cheese on top of each patty a minute before they finish cooking. It’ll melt perfectly.
