- 1 pound Chicken tenderloins
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the chicken tenderloins under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Note: Ensuring your tenderloins are dry before seasoning will help the spices stick better and ensure a beautifully browned exterior.
Step 2 – Marinate
Lay the tenderloins in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, turning to coat evenly.
Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to an hour in the fridge if you have time.
Warning: Always marinate chicken in the refrigerator to prevent bacterial growth.
Step 3 – Cook the Chicken
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken tenderloins.
Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Fact: Cooking chicken to the proper temperature is crucial for safety, as it ensures that harmful bacteria are killed.
- If you prefer grilling, these tenderloins are perfect for it. Just preheat your grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Always rest your chicken for a few minutes after cooking. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it juicier and more flavorful.
