Measure out the whole cloves and if using, the cinnamon stick.

Step 3 – Simmer and Infuse
After the water has reached a boiling point:
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes.
The cloves will infuse the water with their essence during this time.
Warning: Keep an eye on the pot to prevent it from boiling over.
Step 4 – Strain and Serve
To finish off:
Remove the pot from heat.
Strain the tea into cups, removing the cloves and cinnamon stick.
Sweeten with honey to taste.
Note: The longer you let the cloves steep after turning off the heat, the stronger the flavor will be.
- If you prefer a lighter flavor, reduce the simmering time.
- For added spice, a pinch of ground nutmeg or cardamom can work wonders with clove tea.
