- 1 pound Frozen ravioli
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 can 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup Fresh basil chopped
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes
Step 1 – Boil the Ravioli
Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
Add frozen ravioli to the boiling water.
Cook according to package instructions, usually 4-6 minutes, until they float to the top and are tender.
Note: Don’t overcrowd the pot. Cook in batches if needed to prevent sticking.
Step 2 – Prepare the Sauce
While the ravioli cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes, simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in chopped basil.
Warning: Keep the heat moderate to prevent the garlic from burning.
Step 3 – Combine and Serve
Using a skimmer, transfer cooked ravioli directly from the pot to the skillet with the sauce.
Gently toss the ravioli in the sauce to coat.
Serve hot, sprinkled with grated Parmesan cheese.
Note: Tossing the ravioli gently is key to keeping them intact.
