- 1 kg Chicken thighs boneless and skinless
- 1 cup Cornstarch
- 2 Eggs beaten
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 3 tbsp Hot sauce adjust based on heat preference
- 5 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Dredge the chicken pieces in cornstarch, then dip into beaten eggs.
Marinating the chicken for at least 30 minutes in this coating will help develop the flavors and ensure a crispy finish.
Step 2 – Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the chicken until golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes per side.
Remove from heat and drain on paper towels.
A hot skillet is key to achieving that perfect golden crust.
Step 3 – Make the Hot Honey Sauce
Combine honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl.
Whisk together until fully integrated.
The sauce should be a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, so adjust the hot sauce to suit your heat preference.
Step 4 – Toss the Chicken
- For an extra crispy coating, let the chicken rest for a few minutes after the egg wash before frying.
- If you prefer a less spicy version, reduce the amount of hot sauce and add a bit more honey.
