Equipment

  • Teapot or saucepan
  • Strainer or cheesecloth
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Kettle for boiling water
  • Two mugs for serving

Ingredients

  • 2 grams Dried magic mushrooms
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 small piece Ginger optional
  • 2 teaspoons Honey optional
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice optional

Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare Your Ingredients

  • Gather all the necessary ingredients and measure them out.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly.
  • If using, peel and slice the ginger.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice, avoiding seeds.
  • Always start with a clean workspace to avoid contaminating your brew.

Step 2 – Boil the Water

  • Bring the water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat to prevent overboiling which can affect the taste.
  • Using freshly boiled water helps to extract the full flavor and potential benefits of the mushrooms.

Step 3 – Steep the Mushrooms

  • Add the mushrooms (and ginger if using) to your teapot and pour the hot water over them.
  • Let them steep for about 10 minutes.
  • Cover the teapot or saucepan to keep the heat in.
  • Steeping time can be adjusted based on how strong you prefer your tea.

Step 4 – Strain and Serve

  • Use a strainer or cheesecloth to pour the tea into mugs.
  • If desired, add honey and lemon juice to each mug.
  • Stir well until the honey dissolves.
  • Straining through cheesecloth can help remove any fine particles and give you a clear tea.

Notes

  • If you find the flavor too intense, dilute it with more hot water.
  • Always respect the potency of magic mushroom tea; start with a small amount to gauge its strength and effects.
