Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions

Step 1 – Preparing the Salmon

  • Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes. Ensure they are even to cook uniformly.
  • Place the salmon cubes in a bowl.
  • Make sure the salmon is patted dry before cutting to prevent it from cooking unevenly.

Step 2 – Marinating

  • Combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, soy sauce, and honey in a mixing bowl.
  • Whisk until the mixture is well combined.
  • Pour the marinade over the salmon cubes.
  • Gently toss the salmon to coat evenly.
  • Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • A longer marination time will enhance the flavors significantly.

Step 3 – Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the marinated salmon cubes on the baking sheet. Make sure they are not touching.
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is fully cooked and golden.
  • Salmon is best enjoyed when it’s cooked but still moist inside.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the salmon bites for the last 2-3 minutes.
  • Keeping it juicy: Avoid overcooking the salmon to maintain its juiciness.
