Measuring cups
- 1 cup Butter unsalted
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- To taste Hot sauce
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- To taste Salt
- To taste Ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley chopped
Step 1 – Prepare the Base
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Note: Keep the heat moderate to avoid burning the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
Step 2 – Season Generously
Stir in the Cajun and Old Bay seasonings.
Mix in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Adjust the hot sauce according to how spicy you like it.
Sprinkle the smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Warning: Old Bay seasoning contains salt, so be careful with additional salt.
Step 3 – Simmer and Finish
Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes to blend the flavors.
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for freshness.
Note: Adding parsley at the end preserves its vibrant color and fresh flavor.
- For a thicker sauce, you can mix in a teaspoon of cornstarch dissolved in water before adding the parsley.
- Always taste and adjust the seasonings to match your preferences.
