Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces 6 ounces each Fresh steelhead trout fillets
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh dill chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 slices Lemon slices for garnish

Step 1 – Prepare the Oven and Trout

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Place trout fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Note: Ensuring your oven is at the right temperature before cooking is key to perfectly baked trout.

Step 2 – Mix the Seasoning

  • In your mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped dill, salt, and pepper.
  • Whisk these ingredients together until fully blended.
  • Mixing your seasoning thoroughly distributes flavors, ensuring each bite is as good as the last.

Step 3 – Season the Trout

  • Brush the olive oil mixture generously over the trout fillets.
  • Ensure each fillet is evenly coated with the seasoning.

Step 4 – Bake the Trout

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the trout flakes easily with a fork.
