- 4 pieces 6 oz each Swordfish steaks
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley chopped
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
Step 1 – Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
Whisk together until well blended.
Note: A good marinade not only flavors the fish but also helps keep it moist during cooking.
Step 2 – Marinate the Swordfish
Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish or a sealable plastic bag.
Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
Warning: Do not marinate for too long as the acid in the lemon juice can begin to cook the fish.
Step 3 – Prepare the Grill
Step 4 – Grill the Swordfish
Remove the swordfish from the marinade, letting excess drip off.
Place steaks on the hot grill.
Grill each side for about 3-4 minutes or until the fish reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Tip: Do not move the steaks too much once they are on the grill to get those perfect grill marks.
- Preheat: Always preheat your grill to ensure the swordfish cooks evenly.
- Don’t Overcook: Swordfish is best enjoyed when it’s slightly pink in the center.
