Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Cooked chicken diced
  • 1/2 cup Celery finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Red grapes halved
  • 1/4 cup Almonds sliced
  • 3/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions
 

Step 1 – Prepare the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, chopped celery, halved grapes, and sliced almonds.
  • Note: Ensure your chicken is cooled and not too moist, as excess moisture can make your salad soggy.

Step 2 – Mix the Dressing

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Tip: For a healthier alternative, substitute half the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.

Step 3 – Combine and Chill

  • Pour the dressing over the chicken mixture and toss gently until everything is well coated.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Warning: Always taste your salad after seasoning and adjust if necessary, but remember, it’s easier to add more seasoning than to take it out!

Notes

  1. For extra crunch, add some crispy bacon or fried onions.
  2. If you prefer a bit of a kick, a dash of cayenne pepper works wonders.
