Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spatula or large spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Wax paper

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pretzels
  • 1 cup Rice cereal squares
  • 1/2 cup Plain M&M's
  • 1 cup White chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Peanuts
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions

Step 1 – Prep Your Ingredients

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Line your baking sheet with wax paper.
  • Note: Ensuring your wax paper is well-placed will make cleanup a breeze!

Step 2 – Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss together pretzels, rice cereal squares, M&M’s, and peanuts.
  • Make sure every piece gets a bit of space; think of it as social distancing for snacks!

Step 3 – Melt the White Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
  • Warning: Keep an eye on your chocolate! White chocolate can be a bit temperamental and burns easily.

Step 4 – Combine Everything

  • Pour the melted white chocolate over your dry ingredients.
  • Using a spatula, gently fold everything together until the dry ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Spread the mixture out on your prepared baking sheet.
  • Let it sit until the chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes.
  • Tip: If you’re in a hurry, pop the tray into the fridge to speed up the hardening process.

Notes

  • For a touch of extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.
  • If white chocolate isn’t your thing, milk or dark chocolate are just as delicious.
