Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green chilies diced
  • 400 g can Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 large Tortillas
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions
 

Step 1- Prepare Your Ingredients

  • Chop the onion and green chilies.
  • Measure out all the spices.
  • Remember, a sharp knife makes prep work much easier and safer.

Step 2- Brown the Beef

  • Heat the skillet over medium-high.
  • Takea spoon and break up the ground beef.
  • Cook until browned and no longer pink.

Step 3- Add the Aromatics

  • Add the chopped onions and green chilies to the skillet.
  • Cook until the onions become translucent.

Step 4- Spice it Up

  • Add the cumin, garlic, and chili powder and mix well.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 5- Simmer

  • Pour in the tomato sauce and beef broth.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Make the mixture thicker by simmering it for about 10 minutes.
  • Letting it simmer properly will enhance the flavors immensely.

Step 6- Prep the Tortillas

  • Warm the tortillas in a microwave or another skillet to make them pliable.

Step 7- Assemble and Serve

  • Put a little of the beef mixture in the middle of each tortilla.
  • Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Fold the tortillas and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey instead of beef to make it lighter.
  • Add a dollop of sour cream to each chilito for extra richness.
